Another incredibly busy month:

  • Aikido Taster Session - we have two groups attending a free taster session this month. Dress for this will be sports kit / civies. Please check emails as to which group you are in.
  • Live Fire Marksmanship Trianing - two sessions booked this month. First on the 9th for an initial shoot and practice on the range. Later in the month 4 cadets will take part in the Wing Collins Trophy Competition. This is the first round and targets will be posted in for adjudication before the winners from round 1 are selected to compete in April at the Wing Training Day.
  • L98A2 Initial Weapons Training - three cadets are attending the weekend long course to progress their weapons skills and develop their marksmanship with the L98A2 weapon.
  • Cadet Dylan Chauhan is also away early in the month on the prestigious Wing Junior Leadership and Development Course. This is an intense weekend of leadership training both classroom based and practical where he can learn about leadership styles, how to manage and work with teams of people and develop skills ready for promotion.
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award Training and Expedition - the Bronze group are working hard this month on route planning ready for a weekend expedition over the Easter Weekend (26-27 March).
Slight Changes to some of the times this month:
Please note that on Sunday 6th March (Mothering Sunday) the parade will be slightly shorter finishing at 1130hrs prompt however on Sunday 13th March we will extend parade until mid afternoon to make up for time lost and to allow a good long period of practice ahead of the Wing Training Day competitions in April. On the 13th, cadets are requested to bring a packed lunch and will finish at approx 1500hrs.

Sunday 27th March is Easter Sunday therefore we will be closed for normal parade (apart from those off on DofE expedition!)
